She was the Queen of
a pantheon
of Aegean Titans
or Elder Gods.

Titans meant "rulers",
for they once governed the Aegean world,
later to be overthrown by
patriarchal Olympians
under the influence of
father Zeus.

Titania,
was otherwise known as Themis
or Gaea,
and even. . .
Diana!

Much later,
William Shakespeare
made Her the famous,
medieval Fairy Queen,
in the play "Midsummer Nights Dream"
and paired Her with the equally powerful,
Fairy King,
Oberon.

She represents Mother Nature,
caring for the nature spirits
and creatures that inhabit Her realm!
